.SK domains transfer

Transferring .SK domain name is now much simpler. When you request a transfer of your .SK domain name you must first pay a 1-year renewal fee and get an AUTH-ID code for transfer from your current registrar. The renewal fee in line with our pricelist is at present 299 Kč + VAT. Once the renewal fee has been paid we will send you a link where you insert the AUTH-ID code and confirm the transfer of your .SK domain name. When the transfer has been successfully completed the expiration date of your domain name will be prolonged for one year. This way you will pay only for the renewal (prolongation), not for the transfer itself. You can now change the registrar of your domain name at any time. Please find more information here.

What is a domain?

A Domain is a unique name that replaces a numeric IP address. An example of a domain name is forpsi.com, forpsicloud.cz, domainmaster.cz or seznam.cz. The most popular domain on the Czech market is of course .cz. There are already more than 1.4 million domains with the .cz ending. So what to do if you have come up with a great project name and want to find out if the domain is available?

 
 

How do I check if domains are available for registration?

If the .cz domain for your project or company name is already taken, you have several options. If you insist on the .cz ending, you have no choice but to change the project name. It is also possible to choose one of the classic generic domains (.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .name), or based on the focus of the project choose one of the new generic domains, e.g. .cloud, .online, .cafe... and register it.

On a registered second-level domain, e.g. forpsi.com, it is possible to create domains of other levels (e.g. the third-level domain datacentrum.forpsi.com) and thus create sections for different content topics. Domains are usually registered for 1 year and then renewed, but can be registered for up to 10 years.
